Functions and requirements
The new logistics center is located in Bari for the storage and handling of pallets and packages. The supply by Dalmine LS concerned the Pick-tower, which covers an area of about 3,000 sqm, has a height of 12 m, and consists of 3 floors plus the ground level of walkways. Each floor is served by motorized conveyors for loading and unloading packages, as well as a freight elevator for transferring bulky materials.
Our solutions
The metal structure by Dalmine LS is made of galvanized Bi-Bloc material, with painted accessories for handrails, guardrails, and stairs. The packages rest on high-strength, smooth-running gravity wheel tracks equipped with steel pins that ensure a FIFO flow of the more than 50,000 stored packages. In addition, Dalmine LS was selected to supply several doxens of thousands of trays used for the automation of OVS’s logistics center in Pontenure.
