Multi-Storey Racking for Storage of Hanging and Flat-packed Garments
Fabiana Filippi
Dalmine LS built a multi-storey shelving system inside the new logistics centre of Fabiana Filippi, a company founded on the unique tradition of cashmere in Umbria, where the landscape is outlined by olive and oak trees as in a Renaissance painting. On this legacy Fabiana Filippi inscribes its own codes: graphic lines contrasted with fluid shapes, accompanied by a palette that reflects the colour range of nature.
Great attention is paid to the purity of the raw materials and sustainable manufacturing, developing an elegance based on respect for the earth and for people.

In view of its continuous growth, Fabiana Filippi created a new logistics pole dedicated to the storage and distribution of its products. The objective of this new centre was to improve operations, internal productivity and storage capacity, while safeguarding the high quality standards of the products. The warehousing solution also had to ensure flexibility for business growth over time and seasonal work peaks.
We built a multi-storey structure consisting of three levels + ground for the storage of 30,000 LUs including both hanging and flat-packed garments. With a floor area of 3,400 square metres, the multi-storey structure quadrupled the floor area. This means that the new logistics centre counts on more than 13,000 square metres for the storage of finished products. The loading units are handled by manual trolleys if on the same level and by automated trolleys between levels, in order to make the work easier for the operators.
